The team of Grant Delgado and Clay Paulin of Palos Verdes High won the inaugural 16-team Bay League Beach Volleyball Tournament on the south side of the Hermosa Beach Pier.

Delgado and Paulin defeated A.J. Anello and Dustin Ihde of Redondo in the quarterfinals, 21-14. They beat Kyle Rehkemper and Kyle Stevenson of Palos Verdes, 21-16, in the semifinals. Then Delgado and Paulin defeated Ryan Olson and Trevor Butler of Redondo in the final, 21-19. The team of Kevin Baker and D.J. Diaz of West Torrance tied for third place with Rehkemper and Stevenson.
